Pastors' wives, encourage each other. You know more than anyone, how alone we can feel in this position. If you aren't reaching out to another pastor's wife in your city, then you aren't doing your job. God put you in the role as pastor's wife for a reason. Not only to reach the lost and encourage the church, but to relate to other pastors' wives and bring hope to them.
Churches are shutting their doors left and right, there are high percentages of pastors losing their ministry to infidelity. Many of us in different seasons are feeling burnt out, sad, and alone. Do you know what that means?
WE NEED ONE ANOTHER!
We can't leave the responsibility to encourage, love, and speak truth up to a book, a blog, or a song. We are sisters, united in different churches for one cause. We are the ones who have the most voice in each others lives. We get it. We understand the demands, we understand the loneliness, we understand the weight, we understand the pastor, we understand it all. So it should be our duty to seek out other pastors' wives in our cities and in our towns, gather together, encourage one another, and stand in the gap for each other.
I know as a pastor's wife, there have been seasons I have said, "I can't do this anymore." I know the value of having another pastor's wife say, "You got this. You are doing great. Press on! This is just a tough season. You are handling it with such beauty. You are strong. I am with you. I am here for you. I am praying for you."
We all know first hand how much we desire encouragement-love-truth in our own lives. Why not be the first to extend it to your sister?! Don't let the enemy tell you, you don't have the experience or words to give another. You are more than qualified. You are more than experienced and capable. I am telling you now, Jesus unlocked the power in you to have a voice to other women and pastors' wives, the day he placed you in the role as pastor's wife.
