Walking through this life following Jesus, and being a pastor's wife of a church can bring you to a lot of days you don't want to do the task God has set before you. I don't want to meet with that lady from church today. I don't want to step up and volunteer in this area that is lacking people serving. I don't want to take the time to love my husband better today, or my family. Whatever it is you are facing you have a choice, do you want to do it, or not.
I recently heard someone say, just because you don't want to do something doesn't mean you can't do it. How true is that? I have said it before, God never called us to an easy comfortable life. Even in seasons of rest, by green pastures does He ask us to get uncomfortable. Growing, leading, shepherding, all of these things have days of discomfort. Just because you don't feel or want to get uncomfortable, doesn't mean you can't.
You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. Philippians 4:13 God makes the incapable, capable. He makes the unable, able. The day Jesus asked Peter to walk on water, Peter probably didn't want to. But Peter trusted Jesus through His fear and discomfort, to step out of the boat and because of his faith He made him walk on water. Where is God asking you to go in your ministry, that you don't want to go, but you can go.
