If you are human, you have probably had some hairy, sticky relationships. Union among people is what the enemy is out to destroy. People thrive together, and what they believe in becomes powerful and unstoppable where there is unity. A lot of the time, the enemy targets families in ministry, and the local church. The enemy targets christians, because kingdom minded people are huge threats to his plan. His goal is to separate people, whether that be through something as silly as miscommunication, a misinterpreted look, a hurtful word, or a sticky situation. Disunity is his goal.
Jesus is in the business of reconciliation and unity. While we were dead in our sins we were reconciled with God through the death of Jesus Christ. Jesus asks us to strive for peace with everyone, be tenderhearted, forgive on another, and above all love one another. This can be so difficult to do, when sometimes we live out of our flesh, and we are fighting the attacks of the enemy.
Strife and conflict between people are sneaky snares the devil leaves out to trap us in bitterness, and hate. We must start loving people, and a part of that is getting uncomfortable and dying to oneself to make wrongs right. Apologizing and forgiving people is a part of loving people. When Jesus forgave us by dying on a cross for us, He gave us freedom. Freedom to not be bound by our sins anymore.
If you start living out of love, and repenting to people, and forgiving and reconciling the relationships, it can be powerful. Powerful, because where love is there is freedom. You will bring so much freedom to your life if you love like Christ loves.
Relationships that seem impossible, are intangible only because your perspective sees them that way. God works in impossible. If you start truly believing in what the word says about love and unity, God will move in ways you never knew He could. Pastor's wife, leave no room for the enemy to run free in your thoughts, relationships, and ministry.
