For those of you dreaming about what is next. Whether that be church planting, leading the church in a new direction, walking into a new season, or being called to a place you don't want to go. At some point the thinking has to stop, and faith must be put action.
Genesis 22:2 “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”
Abraham had several days of thinking before he climbed the mountain with his son in faith. Then, he put faith to action by placing his son down on the altar. And it was there, where his faith was put to put to action, that God met him. I have been loving reading Proverbs lately. And one passage that has captured my attention is Proverbs 16:3.
Proverbs 16:3 Commit your plans to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.
Whatever God is calling you to. Eventually, you got to stop waiting for the stars to align. You don't need a ton of coincidences to convince you to go. God didn't need to convince Abraham to go. Abraham went, and stepped up the mountain in faith. Sometimes we are called to huge mountains, and what's at the top may or may not be very appetizing. But are you willing to trust God when you get there, and put your faith to action?
Noah never needed a rain cloud to build a boat. His faith built an ark.
