I think sometimes when we think about miracles we think they happen out of the blue. However, most of the time the stories in the bible display miracles a bit differently. People coming to Jesus for healing happened often. As well as, Jesus performing miracles through others who were willing to show up.
The Leper may not have been healed, had he not run down the mountain in faith to Jesus. After all, he would of been stoned coming that close to a crowd of people. It was all or nothing, healed or stoned. The friend, who had willing faithful friends to dig a hole in the roof and lower him down to Jesus, got him healing. Moses, he had to say yes and step out boldly to a huge body of water in faith that God would part it.
Sometimes it takes one foot in front of the other to get to where Jesus wants us. Maybe we just need to take one last step to see the miracle we are hoping and praying for. We want, and pray so hard for miracles to happen yet we sit back and do nothing. We want relationships mended and healed, but we sit back and don't try to love the person we want mending with. What if God was wanting to use you to mend the relationship, and heal the broken, but you don't want that. You want it to happen out of no where, with little to no effort on your part. I would question if you really want that miracle in your life.
Did you forget the Leper wanted healing so bad, that he was willing to be stoned to death. Or how about Christ? He was willing to die on a cross for the miracle of saving the entire world. God could have taken Jesus to heaven out of no where to accomplish His miracle. However, He didn't. Instead through His son, he displayed so beautifully what it looks like to take lashing after lashing, step after step, breath after breath on a cross for the miracle.
What step do you need to take today for the miracle you are praying for?
