God never called us to do it alone. He never told Peter to walk on water alone, or asked Moses to calm the see alone. God never asked Noah to build an ark alone, could you imagine how wrong the dimensions would have been? Nor did He ask the bleeding woman to heal herself. It was because she touched Jesus, and looked to Him that she was healed. God never intended us to pastor's wife alone.
Our flesh is in constant survival state. The flesh is constantly trying to prove something, worry about how we will eat next, take charge in areas that need it, and fix where it thinks God lacks. Our flesh doesn't think it needs Jesus, and it often confuses our hearts and minds to forget we even need Him. We walk through day to day life letting our flesh handle it, and forgetting to look up and see and rely on Him
Pastors' wives, the lack of finances you have, you were never meant to fix and carry the burden alone. The burdens that leading a church brings, was never meant to be laid on you. The anxiety and fear circumstances in your life are causing you were never meant for you. Stop picking up fear, failure, anxiety, heavy burdens, sadness and trying to fix it. It was never meant for you.
Matthew 11:28-30 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
We can't fulfill this role as pastor's wife without Jesus. Our flesh will burn out, always be less than, never live up to the capacity, die out, never flourish, and stay stagnant. We were never meant to do this alone. We can't. God knew the huge responsibility of walking on water, it is impossible without Him. He knew the huge weight, responsibility, and hard circumstances pastors' wives would have to walk through and knew He would need a woman that never relies on herself, but always looks up every second of every day grasping for Him.
Ladies we need Him. Open your bibles more and pick up your cellphones less. Your are running off Facebook fumes, and not overflowing with the life of Jesus. How can you be salt and light to this world if you are empty, running and working on what you can do alone? You were never meant to do this alone. God much rather work in someone who relies on Him, than relies on themselves. He can't use you, if you don't need Him. Give Him more to work with. So much more, that when the world sees, they know it's God.
