Love is a funny thing. In honor of all the other Valentine blogs going around today, I would like to keep this one short.
From our first breath to our last breath, we all have the same desire. We desire love. Unfortunately, we desire it to fulfill us in every wrong place possible. We desire it from other people, the things we do, and ultimately ourself. Searching for a fulfillment in these areas will ultimately fail to satisfy us. Have you ever heard the saying, "you cant love someone else until you love yourself?" Well, I would like to scratch that concept, and give you a new one.
Here it goes....You cant love someone else, and you cant love yourself either, until you love perfect love. Perfect love is Jesus Christ. We will never be satisfied in anything or anyone else until we realize we are not perfect love. We have to be satisfied in Jesus, to fully love our neighbors.
We must stop pacifying ourselves with media, food, people, jobs, success, and talent. Nourish yourself and drink from the well of Jesus Christ. The most perfect love of all.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Ephesians 3:17-19 So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Romans 8:37-39 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
