As pastors' wives we often feel alone in this position. There is no one to relate to on a Sunday morning, or through the week, and more times than not we don't keep in touch with one another. We get boggled down with the weight this calling carries.
Some of us are new in our role, others of us have been doing this for years, and some of us are burnt out nearing the end. Some of us are struggling with the weight and pressure the congregation is laying on us. Some of us are filling a lot of roles at our church right now, because there aren't enough volunteers. Some of us don't have any finances. Some of us aren't needed anymore because the church is thriving and staff has been hired. And others of us are struggling for more attention from our husbands' because church consumes their every waking thought.
No matter where you are in this walk, we can relate to one another because we all Sleep With The Pastor. Whatever you are going through, the hurt, joy, sorrow, success you feel, no one is more equipped than you to be a pastor's wife to your husband. In the end, none of the weight we are carrying matters. We can lay it at the feet of Jesus every morning, and at the end of the day we are who sleeps with the Pastor.
